The Four Cakes
- Cake 1: La Rocha Red Velvet Cake from my coworkers
- Cake 2: Multilayered Rainbow Cake for a dinner party with my friends from dance class.
- Cake 3: Ribbon Chocolate Layer Cake for a dinner party friends with university.
- Cake 4: Lynne's Ferrero Rocher Cake for a surprise birthday

Cake #1: La Rocha Red Velvet Cake
My coworkers took me out to a Greek restaurant and purchased a La Rocha Red Velvet cake. It was delicious and really special.
Cake #2: Multilayered Rainbow Cake
I dedicated quite a few posts to baking this cake:
- Recipe: Multilayer Rainbow Cake
- HOW TO: Ice a Multilayer Cake
- Baking tips: Freezing Cake Layers
- HOW TO: Bake flat cake layers every time
Cake #3: Layered Chocolate Ruffle Cake
I used a classic chocolate cake recipe (my favourite go-to recipe) to bake these chocolate layered cake and then proceeded to look in Pinterest and Youtube for inspiration on how to ice the cake:
Cake #4: Lynne's Ferrero Rocher Cake
Lastly, this cake took me completely by surprise! Evening began with getting treated to delicious, authentic Colombian food (first time) at Mi Tierra Restaurant at St Clair Ave W in Toronto. They made me close my eyes while I was driven to an undisclosed location - a skating rink for one of my favourite pastimes! We skated underneath the stars for a good hour before we were onto the next..
The last stop was back at the parents place where Lynne unveiled this amazing cake. We watched Master Chef while eating our hearts out.
What an eventful December ^_^
